  • How did these programs start?

Abby Dew For You began in 2021. Abby Dew, Program Director, worked as a para-professional in DCSD and provided respite care. Quickly, Abby’s schedule filled up and she couldn’t fill the demand. While problem solving a way to meet everyone’s needs as only one person, she realized that parents have full time jobs by taking care of their children, not to mention their professional work and social lives. Abby was able to find a work-life balance for herself while also filling the care crisis by planning and executing our events - giving parents and caregivers respite in the process. Abby is also passionate about including stay-at-home parents in the workforce by employing people who need flexible employment opportunities that work around their parenting schedules and even offer the chance to bring their children along. Abby’s number 2 values are inclusivity and community.
